Valerie Cooper was Cyclops' contact with the Underground. He would meet Cooper on the abandoned docks of the Hudson with prisoners from the Breeding Pens that he helped free. Val Cooper was last seen aiding in the rescue of the mutant Lorna Dane. Her whereabout since then are unknown.

In our reality, Valerie Cooper headed up X-Factor for a breif while. Her job would later taken by Forge after the Acolytes had one of their members take control of Val's mind for some weeks. Cooper remains in close touch with the team and is currently directing the government's Council on Mutant Affairs.
