Lorna Dane possessed the ability to manipulate magnetism with the potential to exercise all of the powers that Magento has.

Her powers manifested after her parents fell as victims in the first midwesten cullings. Her parential loss and mutant transformation traumatized her fragile adolescent mind and she buried the painful reality with a more fanciful one in which her father was Magneto. Her dementia led to an uneasy alliance with Rogue, but that ended in a fateful conflict with Rogue stealing half of Lorna's magnetic intensity. She was captured by Apocalypse's troops and stuck in the Breeding Pens.

After she witnessed the escape of several inhabitants of the pens, she was brought to Henry McCoy for questioning by Havoc. McCoy's mind probes were futile since Lorna's remaining polarization toyed with the calibration of his machinery and so he decided the only way to further interrogate the captive was by performing brain surgery. Before he could do this, he was stopped by Cyclops who subsequently helped liberate Lorna from the pens. She was last seen in the company of Valerie Cooper and her current location is unknown.
