When the alpha mutants Weapon X and Jean Grey couriered data rods from the Horseman known as Sinister, the Human High Council reviewed the information and Bolivar and Moira Trask reached the conclusion that Apocalypse's overture of peace was nothing more than a smoke screen for his strategic forces to build up in preparation for an offensive strike against human saturated Europe. It was up to the Council to end the threat of Apocalypse once and for all, by any means necessary and, in this case, a doomsday strike against North America!

However, the Trasks would not be present for the Pre-Emptive Nuclear Strike on North America, but stayed in London with Thunderbolt Ross where they would humor with Mikhail Rasputin and his alleged peace convoy while the remainder of the Council would proceeded with their annihilation of the United States. When it became clear that Mikhail's intentions of peace were false, the Trasks took to arms, determined to go down fighting against their enemy and for themselves. They were killed when the worst fears of the Human High Council were realized as Apocalypse's defense grid was no longer limited to defense.
