Illyana Rasputin has the dormant mutant ability to teleport herself and others through time and space by creating stepping discs of an unknown form of energy.

When Magneto found Bishop, the strange man claimed to be from another reality where Charles Xavier was not murdered by his son Legion. The X-Men leader required a means in which to travel back in time should the mad man's tales be true. The way would be through the child Illyana Rasputin, erroneously reported as being dead and currently held captive in the Seattle Core.

Illyana was discovered by Mondo and he would have also succeeded in sneaking her out inside of his body, but Illyana started poking her way through Mondo's encasing. When he was discovered, Mondo regrouped with the rest of his team and Colossus ordered Shadowcat to take them and Illyana to safety. The three of them were made intangible and floated away, leaving the students behind. However, Colossus promised to return to help the kids and later returned to his wife and sister claiming he did everything possible to save them.

Upon her successful rescue from the Core, she was taken to Apocalypse's Citadel where she was able to use her dormant mutant power to send Bishop back in time through the M'kraan Crystal to restore the timeline by preventing Xavier's death. It is unknown what became of Illyana after the fall of Apocalypse.
