A clandlestine rendezvous concludes on a ramshackle dock on the banks of the Hudson, another successful drop off in the relationship between Cyclops, commander of the Elite Mutant Force, and Valerie Cooper, his liaison from the Underground.

The Hudson, also called the New Nile, was the drop-off point where Cyclops emancipates a handful of prisoners from the Breeding Pens and liberate them to the Underground. It was almost incomprehensible why he risked everything to do this, but Cyclops had saved some lives at the jeapordy of his own. Eventually, Cyclops was found by his younger sibling Havoc during these treasonous acts and used this evidence against him to usurp command of the Pens and EMF from his older brother.
