The Summers Family finally re-united, father and sons caught up with and got to know one another until they were attacked by mutated Scavengers and Flatscans. They discovered that their attackers had been changed by Christopher's Brood persona which was now dominant, finally taking over his body. Cyclops ended his father's suffering when he threatened the life of his younger sibling Havoc.
