Frost, Emma
Real Name: Emma Frost Affiliation: Human High Council Height: 5'10" Weight: 144 lbs. Eyes: Blue Hair: Blonde Status: Unknown (Presumed Living) Emma Frost is the only member of the Human High Council who was once a mutant. She had the telepathic ability to read minds and project her thoughts into the minds of others. She was able to project psionic force bolts which attacked the a person's mind, causing the victim pain or unconsciousness. When the war between mutants and humans escalated, Emma sided with the human coalition. In order to gain acceptance, she sacrificed her powers in a lobotomy that removed the portion of her brain responsible that enabled her superhuman abilities. The humans were ready to recieve Frost after she was no longer considered to be a mutant threat. Emma became the constant companion of Brian Braddock and could often be seen by his side, but she still Emma did not completely trust him just as some of her other colleagues questioned his standing. During the Human High Council's attempted pre-emptive strike on North America, it was revealed that Brian had been working as a double agent, but would ultimately side with the Council when push came to shove. He was fatally wounded while defending the ship against Donald Pierce and would died in the arms of Emma Frost. After Piece's defeat, Emma would live on to help direct the nuclear strike on Apocalypse with the assisstance of Gateway's powers of teleportation. It is unknown what happened to her after the bombings came to a close, though she is presumed to be living as she was aboard the bombadeer vessels. In our reality, Emma Frost's beauty and talents brought her an invitation to join the Hellfire Club. There, Frost recruited young superhuman mutants and trained them in the use of their powers at her school so that they might use those powers on the Inner Circle's behalf as members of a team called the Hellions. Later, the time-traveling attacker known as Trevor Fitzroy brought about the untimely demise of each and every one of the Hellions and plunged Frost into a deep coma. Frost's consciousness was apparently still active on the material plane and her body was kept in the Med-lab at the X-Men's mansion. When she fully recovered from the coma, she resumed her role of teacher at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning alongside Sean Cassidy. They act as the headmaster and headmistress of this school designed to train a new set of mutants known as Generation X. |
