Crystal
Real Name: Crystalia Amaquelin Affiliation: Inhumans Height: 5'6" Weight: 110 lbs. Eyes: Green Hair: Purple Relations: Medusa (Sister), Death II, Black Bolt, Gorgon, Relations: Karnak, Rhino, Triton (Cousins) Status: Deceased (Sunfire) Crystal possesses the ability to mentally manipulate the four basic "elements" of nature: fire, water, earth and air. She does so by means of a psionic interaction with the substances on a molecular level. The actual Crystal was killed by Death, the most dreaded Horseman of the High Lord Apocalypse. This Crystal was concieved and bred on the genetic template of the dead Inhuman royal family using the Terrigen Mists. While En Sabah Nur was recovering from severe wounds suffered during an encounter with the X-Men, Death plotted to take the throne from En Sabah Nur. When he turned over the Terrigen Mists to Apocalypse, Death claimed control of the Horseman while Apocalypse was still at rest. While on his perch on Apocalypse's Celestial Ship, he encountered the very same X-Men who En Sabah Nur was unable to defeat and, along with his army of Inhumans, Crystal included, was able to emerge victorious. While Rogue was busy occupying herself with the Rhino, Crystal snuck up behind her and took her out by releasing an electrical discharge. Magneto would take notice of this and hurl one of Crystal's own bolts back at her. Death's plans to usurp Apocalypse's power were thwarted when Cyclops aided Blink in the rescue of the X-Men and the destruction of Ship. Crystal, Death, and the rest of the Inhumans were killed when Sunfire's powers flared out of control and incinerated Ship. In our reality, Crystal was the second child born to the Inhumans nutritionists Quelin and Ambur. Her father Quellin was the brother of Rynda wife of Agon, king of the Inhumans and as such she was considered part of the Royal Family of Attilan. Like her older sister, Medusa, she was subjected to the Terrigen Mists when she was an infant and developed certain metal powers. War erupted while Crystal was still a child, forcing she and her kinsmen to flee Attilan. Sometime later, Crystal happened upon the mutant Quicksilver, who had been wounded battling the Sentinels. She brought him with her to Attilan and nursed him back to health. Subsequently, they became romantically involved . Shortly after the two wed, they conceived a child, Luna, who apparently bore no Inhuman or mutant characteristics. Crystal's relationship with Quicksilver often has been strained, but they always manage to provide a loving environment for Luna. |
