Colleen and her friends were en route to Canada when they were ambushed by a group of scavengers. They were taken back to the scavenger hideaway where they were all to be feasted upon, save for Colleen's best friend Misty Knight who was thrown into a garbage dumpster. Misty would remain trapped inside the trash bin until she was uncovered by Cyclops. To Misty's surprise, the horde of scavengers along with all of her friends, including Colleen, had been slaughtered by predators unknown to them at the time. When Cyclops returned with Misty to the Ghostlands where his brother Havoc and father Christopher Summers were waiting, they were attacked by resurrected versions of Misty's colleagues and the scavengers. In the skirmish, a transformed Colleen killed Misty, but Miss Knight was also able to take Colleen out of commission with a gun shot.
