The X-Men came to the city once known as Chicago to attempt that which has never been done: stop the cullings, the fullscale genocide of several thousand humans who had deluded themselve into believing they were insignificant in the eyes of the genetic overlord called Apocalypse, that they would be overlooked in his eugenic wave... They were wrong. Dead wrong.

Rogue would lead the squad of X-Men who came to do the impossible, a band that boasted the roster of Blink, Morph, Sunfire, Sabretooth, Wild Child, the latter two of which would be teleported by Blink to another site in Indianapolis where they would try to hold off Apocalypse's servant Holocaust and buy the X-Men in Chicago as much time as possible.
