Charles Lensherr, the only child from the union of Magneto and Rogue, is named for his father's long deceased friend Charles Xavier. Although he possesses mutant potential, he has yet to demonstrate any significant extraordinary abilities. He was watched over by the robotic french maid Nanny, who helped ensure that Charles live a relatively normal life for someone who was constantly on the run while his father directed the X-Men's fight for freedom. When Nanny detected a Security Parameter Breech of the X-Men's headquarters, an alert that meant Apocalypse was coming, Nanny fled with baby Charles through the Morlock Tunnels.

Though Nanny was able to protect Charles for a short while by defeating the Vanisher, she was later destoryed by Guido Carosella who betrayed the X-Ternals and kidnapped Magento's son. Along with his father Magneto, Charles was used as bait to draw the rest of the X-Men, and especially Rogue, out into the open. He was held at Apocalypse's Citadel until he was eventually saved by his mother who absorbed Carosella's powers and used them to crush him during the X-Men's final bout with Apocalypse. During the final battle with Apocalypse, Charles lost one of his most consistent babysitters and companions when Blink disappeared. Since then, his mother and father have done their best to raise him as normally as possible. Unfortunately, in a world recovering from near destruction, raising a young child has been far from an easy task for the leaders of the X-Men.
